Admission Requirements
High school students who are Indiana residents seeking regular admission to IPFW are expected to have met the requirements for either a Core 40 or Academic Honors Diploma (Indiana Students) or a “college prep” diploma in other states, rank in the top half of their high school graduation class, and score a 1420 or higher on the SAT or 20 or higher on the ACT. High school GPA needs to be 4.0 - 2.8.
High school students who are Indiana residents seeking regular admission with recommendations to IPFW are expected to have met the requirements for either a Core 40 or Academic Honors Diploma (Indiana Students) or a “college prep” diploma in other states, rank in the top 70% of their high school graduation class, and score a 1320 or higher on the SAT or 18 or higher on the ACT. High school GPA needs to be 2.79 - 2.4.
High school students who are Indiana residents seeking conditional admission to IPFW are expected to have met the requirements for either a Core 40 or Academic Honors Diploma (Indiana Students) or a “college prep” diploma in other states, rank in the top 80% of their high school graduation class, and score a 1120 or higher on the SAT or 16 or higher on the ACT. High school GPA needs to be 2.39 - 2.0.
High school students who do not graduate with Core 40, have a GPA lower than 2.0, ranked in the bottom 20% of their graduating class, and/or have an SAT score lower than 1120 or ACT score lower than 16 will be denied admission to the University and referred to the IPFW/Ivy Tech Crossroads program.
For students graduating with a GED, you must have a score of 540 or higher to be admissible to IPFW. If your score is lower you will be referred to the IPFW/Ivy Tech Crossroads program.
Transfer students must have an accumulative GPA of 2.0 or above from the last college or university they attended. You must also have taken and passed college level English and math. If you do not meet these requirements you will be denied admission to the University and referred to the IPFW/Ivy Tech Crossroads program.
